Ayurveda states that first a humor will accumulate in its home; then it will become disturbed or aggravated; next it will fill it up or flood the home; then it will move out of its home into the home of another humor, tissue, or organ; the manifestation of disease starts at this point; and lastly the result is a chronic imbalance or disease. These are the six steps of the disease process:
1) Accumulation;
2) Disturbed;
3) Flood;
4) Movement;
5) Manifestation;
6) Chronic disease.
